About Me
Howdy! My name is Tarun Sontam and I am a final year Biology major at Texas A&M with plans of completing a business minor. Academically, I hope to take advantage of the numerous opportunities at a large public institution like Texas A&M, such as being able to conduct research with world class professors and socializing with like-motivated individuals. Through these various opportunities, I hope to experience an interdisciplinary curriculum where I will continue to be a lifelong learner - after all, education is for life, not just a living. After graduation, I will be matriculating into the Texas A&M College of Medicine, where I hope to specialize in orthopedic surgery.
Academics aside, some of the activities I enjoy doing are watching and playing sports, reading comic books/manga, biking and exercising, and watching movies of all languages with my family. On campus, I am involved in the American Medical Students Association (AMSA) and Sports Management Society (SMS). Additionally, I work as a supplemental instructor for organic chemistry and human anatomy and physiology.
